1815 - One of the greatest hurricanes to strike New England made landfall at Long Island and crossed Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It was the worst tempest in nearly two hundred years, equal to the hurricane which struck in 1938, and one of a series of severe summer and autumn storms to affect shipping lanes that year.

Wolverine is a village in Cheboygan County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 309 at the 2020 census.
The village is mostly located within Nunda Township with a small portion extending west into Wilmot Township. It is located directly west of Interstate 75 about 40 miles (64.4 km) south of the Mackinac Bridge.
