  and west of I-35 on Sunday.
- Warm and rain-free weather will continue into next week with
  temperatures 5 to 15 degrees above normal.

/Today and Tonight/
The key player in this week`s forecast will be a ridge that
continues to meander atop Texas. With strong ridging in place,
expect precipitation-free conditions along with above normal
temperatures each day. Today will be no exception as high
temperatures climb to the mid-upper 80s. Although this might not
be considered hot compared to our summer months, this is still
5-10 degrees above normal for this time of the year.
With high pressure in control, expect relatively light winds to
continue with directions varying from northeasterly to easterly
through tonight. Overnight, expect much of the region to dip into
the mid to upper 50s with the exception of the Dallas/Fort Worth
Metroplex where temperature will range from 60-65 come Saturday
morning.

The aforementioned area of high pressure will remain atop North
and Central Texas through the next 7 days. The positioning will
vary slightly depending on the proximity of nearby troughs and
areas of low pressure. Nonetheless, conditions will remain
precipitation free with continued afternoon temperatures in the
mid 80s to lower 90s each afternoon.

Continued tranquil weather is expected throughout North and
Central Texas. Light northeasterly winds are ongoing with minimal
variation through the next 20 hours. As we head into early
Saturday morning, winds will gain a more southerly direction with
speeds remaining below 5 kts. Skies will be clear to mostly clear
through the entire period.
