  afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.
- Temperatures will remain mostly above normal through the end of

A weak cold front is currently located across central portions of
the area. The front is forecast to slowly track south, then stall
across our southern counties overnight. Little change in
temperature is expected behind the front, with highs across the
Big Country a few degrees cooler than what we experienced
yesterday. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible along
and ahead of the front this afternoon, mainly across the southern
half of the area. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
On Wednesday, the aforementioned remnant weak cold front will be
located across our southern counties. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are once again possible in the vicinity of the
front, although most areas are forecast to remain dry. Highs will
be near to slightly above seasonal normals, in the mid to upper
80s.

Warm and dry conditions will continue over West Central Texas.
Upper ridging builds directly over Texas this week, then begins to
move southeast Monday and Tuesday. While this brings the region
into southwest flow aloft next week, it appears the main effect of
any upper disturbances (and potential rain) will be west of West
Central Texas. Cold fronts also remain north. South winds could be
breezy at times beginning Sunday, so conditions for fire weather
potential will increase, particularly as vegetation continues to
dry out.
