.LONG TERM... (Saturday night through Thursday) Issued at 100 AM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

Southerly low level flow resumes Sunday, and low level moisture is forecast to gradually increase Sunday into Monday. The ridge aloft strengthens Monday through Wednesday, centering over or just east of the area. &&

.AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 538 AM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

VFR flying conditions today through Saturday morning. FEW015 over the Hill Country will dissipate by mid morning with no impacts to any sites. Light and VRBL winds mix to NE to SE at 5 to 12 KTs during the day into early evening, then decouple to light and VRBL overnight into early morning.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 100 AM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025

Despite spotty showers the past few days, the lack of significant rainfall the past month for most locations has led to flash drought conditions. Dry conditions continuing over the next week, along with low afternoon humidity, especially today through Sunday, will continue to promote the drying of fuels across the region. Despite relatively weaker winds today and Saturday, elevated fire weather conditions are possible the next several days, especially along and east of the I-35 corridor where fuels are more drought stressed.
