Plato is an incorporated rural village in northwestern Texas County, Missouri, United States. It is located approximately 20 miles northwest of Houston and 10 miles south of Fort Leonard Wood on Route 32. There is a large public school complex located there, a bank, a post office, a style and fitness center, and two churches at Plato. The population was 82 at the 2020 census.
As of the 2010 U.S. census Plato was the mean center of United States population of the distribution of the U.S. population.
