.SHORT TERM... /NEW/ /Through Monday Night/
Above normal temperatures will persist today and Monday as we remain beneath a stout upper level ridge. A surface low near the Texas/Oklahoma panhandles will tighten the pressure gradient across portions of North and Central Texas, resulting in breezy winds southerly winds through the afternoon. The breezy winds combined with with dry fuels, above normal temperatures, and low humidity, will result in an elevated threat for grassfires west of the I-35 corridor through the afternoon. Ensure you avoid any activities that may start wildfires. Otherwise, afternoon highs will mostly be in the mid 80s to low 90s with morning lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s.

.LONG TERM... /NEW/ /Tuesday Onward/
There will be no significant change to our weather pattern for much of the upcoming week, with above normal temperatures expected to continue. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 80s to low 90s each day with morning lows in the upper 50s and 60s. A pattern change may begin to transpire as we head into next weekend as a trough swings across the Central CONUS, potentially shunting the upper level ridge off to our east/southeast. This could open the door to storm chances next weekend, which may also be accompanied by some slightly cooler weather.
