.DISCUSSION...
Today through Monday...
Current analysis shows the low that brought us precipitation the
past couple days moving south with high pressure building in
behind. This will result in warm and above average temperatures
through the period. During the day Wednesday, low levels winds
will mix down allowing for southerly wind gusts 20-30 mph with
localized gusts to 35 mph. Into Friday, troughing will pass
through far northern MT. With it`s location being too far north
for any type of precipitation, gusty northwest winds around 20-35
mph are expected. Late Sunday into Monday, ensembles are showing
signs of the ridge transitioning east and southwest flow moving
in along with a good push of atmospheric moisture. An exact
forcing mechanism has yet to be worked out, but this increases
confidence for an unsettled pattern at the beginning of next
week.
High temperatures today will be in the 70s, increasing to the
upper 70s to mid 80s for the remainder of the period. TS

VFR conditions will prevail with light winds across the forecast
area. Some breezy conditions may occur at KLVM out of the west
but should remain under 20kts. Note that KMLS has been reporting
erroneous low visibilities in fog in the early morning hours the
past few days. Techs will be looking into this further this week.
