.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will build over the area today into tonight then slide
south of the region Tuesday into Wednesday. A cold front will
approach on Thursday and cross the area Thursday evening. High
pressure will build in from the west on Friday.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TUESDAY/...
High pressure cresting over the area will bring a sunny tranquil day
across the area today with seasonable high temperatures from near 70
over the north to the low to mid 70s Downeast. This will be followed
by a calm, clear and cool night tonight as high pressure continues
to crest over the area. The calm air will likely allow river valley
fog to form late at night.
High pressure will begin to slide just south of the region on
Tuesday. A light return westerly flow behind the high combined with
strong upper level ridging will result in a sunny and warmer day
with highs into the mid 70s north and the upper 70s over the
interior south.

.SHORT TERM /TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...
1025mb high pressure will be building offshore Tuesday night with
vertically stacked low trying to lift north from the southeast U.S.
Patchy valley fog will develop once again under clear skies and
light winds. Return flow will be kicking in over the CWA on
Wednesday on western periphery of high with inland temps climbing to
near 80, while immediate coast remains in the 70s.
High cirrus spilling into the area from coastal system to our south,
along with cold front to our north, will lead to skies slowly
clouding up Wednesday night. Cannot rule out some patchy fog
developing over valley areas Wednesday night but coverage should be
less than previous nights.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
Thursday will see cold front approaching from Quebec with temps once
again climbing into the 80s ahead of boundary. Guidance is showing
fropa late Thursday night into Friday morning with little rainfall
expected out of the system. Probabilities for 0.10 inches with fropa
range from 45% over the St. John Valley to
