.UPDATE... Issued 936 PM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025

The Frost Advisory continues later tonight into early Thursday morning across Sauk, Columbia, Marquette and Green Lake Counties, where lows in the middle 30s should allow for areas of frost to develop. Patchy frost is possible elsewhere away from Lake Michigan during this period, with lows in the upper 30s. May need to watch lows across Fond du Lac, Dodge, Washington, Sheboygan and Ozaukee Counties overnight, as any drops lower than currently forecast may allow for areas of frost to develop there as well.

.SHORT TERM... Issued 302 AM CDT Wed Oct 8 2025

Tonight through Friday

High pressure centered over Wisconsin this afternoon will shift eastward tonight into Friday. Mostly clear skies and light winds tonight will allow temps to fall into the 30s most places away from Lake Michigan. The coldest conditons are expected roughly northwest of Highway 151, with a Frost Advisory in effect again tonight.

Southerly winds will develop tomorrow as the high shifts eastward ahead of an approaching low. The high will maintain a strong enough influence to keep mostly clear skies and dry weather going through the day. Temperatures are expected to return to right around normal for afternoon highs.

There will be a chance for showers Thursday night into at least early Friday as low pressure passing by to the north drags a cold front through the area. Kept precip chances on the lower end (20-30%) for now, given a fair amount of dry air in the lowest 5 kft and also above about 10 kft. A few showers may linger into Friday night as the low drops southward just east of the forecast area. Highs Friday will likely be a couple degrees warmer than Thursday under southwest winds, though there is some uncertainty in these temps, which will be impacted by the timing of the front along with cloud cover and shower chances.
