Satellite imagery this evening shows high pressure situated over the
area as Hurricanes Imelda and Humberto make their way east out into
the Atlantic. With this high pressure in place, very quiet weather
is still on tap through the short-term. With plenty of sunshine,
temperatures will remain very warm for early October. Highs
Wednesday will generally be in the mid to upper-80s - which is about
10 to 15 degrees above normal. Similar temperatures are in store for
Thursday with high pressure still in place.

As we head into the end of the work week, this very quiet weather
pattern persists. Highs will slightly cool Friday and into the
weekend, but will still be above normal. For any chance of rain,
we`ll have to look ahead to early next week as Gulf moisture moves
north into the area. Of course, uncertainty still remains
regarding details such as timing and potential amounts as models
are slower with moisture advection compared to 24 hours ago. For
now, low rain chances are maintained in the forecast starting on
Monday.
