This Date in Weather History

1979 - The first killer tornado of record in October in Connecticut destroyed sixteen vintage aircraft at the Bradley Air Museum in Windsor Locks. The tornado damaged more than one hundred homes causing 200 million dollars damage. Three persons were killed, and 500 others were injured.

About Darling, Mississippi

Darling is a census-designated place in Quitman County, Mississippi. Darling is located on Mississippi Highway 3, north of Marks. Per the 2020 Census, the population was 154.

The settlement was named after Mr. Darling, a railroad official.
