.DISCUSSION... Issued at 131 PM EDT Wed Oct 1 2025
Currently mostly clear skies and ample sunshine are helping to heat up the atmosphere today, with afternoon temperatures expected to be the warmest of the next 7 days. Mid level ridging and high pressure at the surface are combining to drive the temperatures 5-10 degrees above seasonal normals today. Starting tomorrow temperatures cool down very slightly (although still above normal) as the center of the high/ridge move off. No major weather is expected through the rest of the week and into the weekend... With next week bringing our next best chances of rain to the region. A frontal boundary is forecasted to move up from the Gulf Coast and if it makes it into our region would bring with it increased moisture and precipitation chances, but confidence is low on the timing and amount of rain this might bring. Better chances for more widespread rain will likely come in the middle of next week as a large cold front looks to sweep through the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.

.AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 705 PM EDT Wed Oct 1 2025
Clear skies and VFR conditions are forecast at all sites. A little light wind is expected to keep enough mixing to prevent fog development, and low afternoon dewpoints suggest that fog is unlikely tonight.
