-Strong to severe storms will be possible across portions of the
 state this afternoon and evening with the best chances across
 southern and central Arkansas.
-A brief break in the showers are expected this weekend with
 unsettled weather returning to the forecast by early next week.
-Hot and humid conditions will continue today, lasting through the
 weekend.

To begin the period, a somewhat active weather pattern is expected
over the next several days as mutliple shortwaves move across the
state. With it comes the chance for showers, thunderstorms, and
cooler temperatures. The best chance for rain through the period
will be Friday afternoon then again Monday through Wednesday
morning. While widespread severe is not expected, some isolated
storms could produce severe hail and/or wind gusts.
As with any scattered convection, exact totals depend where storms
set up. Overall, most locations could see up to an inch of rain
through the middle of next week. Higher accumualtions will be
possible for areas with consistent storms or training.
Temperatures are expected to be average to above average through
much of the period with high temperatures in the lower 80s (mainly
northern locations) to lower 90s and overnight low temperatures
dropping into the lower 60s to lower 70s across the state.

Expect vicinity SHRA across the northern terminals of KHRO and KBPK
through Friday evening; elsewhere vicinity TSRA across the remaining
sites of KLIT, KHOT, KADF, KPBF, and KLLQ will be possible through
Friday evening. Rain and storm chances will diminish into Saturday
night, but patchy fog will be present at the sites of KLIT, KHOT,
and KADF which will drop VSBY to as low as MVFR flight category
which has been included in TEMPO groups. Into Saturday morning, all
sites will return to VFR flight category and remain VFR through the
remainder of the forecast period of early Saturday afternoon.
