COOLER AIR WAS OVERSPREADING THE SOUTHERN PLAINS...WITH NORTH WINDS GUSTING OVER 20 MPH...AND TEMPERATURES MAINLY IN THE 50S AND LOW 60S. AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN AS IT LIFTS OUT OF THE REGION...BUT RADAR SHOWED LINGERING SPRINKLES AND LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS SCATTERED AROUND CENTRAL AND EASTERN OKLAHOMA. SOME LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY THIS AFTERNOON...WHILE OTHERS MAY RECEIVE A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN. A MORE SIGNIFICANT AREA OF RAIN WAS LOCATED CLOSE TO THE COLD FRONT FROM NEAR DALLAS IN NORTHEAST TEXAS TO HUGO IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA. A PERIOD OF MODERATE RAIN MAY OCCUR IN THE EASTERN HALF OF BRYAN COUNTY THROUGH 4 PM...BUT MOST OF THE RAIN WILL TRACK FARTHER EAST AS THE COLD FRONT CONTINUES TO MOVE. MEANWHILE...RAIN HAD ENDED WEST OF A LINE FROM PONCA CITY TO EL RENO AND DUNCAN. SKIES REMAINED CLOUDY...HOWEVER...AND HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL STRUGGLE TO REACH THE UPPER 50S AND LOW 60S.
