NOW...REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION... LATE THIS MORNING...A COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM EASTERN OKLAHOMA NEAR SALLISAW...TO ATOKA...MADILL...AND SOUTHWARD INTO TEXAS. COOLER AND DRIER SURFACE AIR WAS OVERSPREADING THE SOUTHERN PLAINS...WITH NORTH WINDS GUSTING OVER 20 MPH...AND TEMPERATURES MAINLY IN THE 50S. A FEW LOCATIONS AROUND OKLAHOMA CITY STILL REPORTED 49 DEGREES AT 11 AM. A TROUGH AT MID AND UPPER LEVELS WAS WEAKENING AS IT LIFTED THROUGH OKLAHOMA TOWARD THE NORTHEAST. REGIONAL RADARS INDICATED SHOWERS OF LIGHT RAIN...WITH BRIEFLY HEAVIER RAIN...EAST OF A LINE FROM SEMINOLE TO PAULS VALLEY AND RINGLING. OTHER LIGHT SHOWERS WERE SCATTERED ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA...WITH MOVEMENT TO THE NORTHEAST. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL AVERAGE ONLY A FEW HUNDREDTHS TO NEAR A TENTH OF A INCH THROUGH 1 PM. RAIN HAD ENDED IN FAR WESTERN NORTH TEXAS AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA...BUT LOW AND MID CLOUDS WILL REMAIN THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. AFTERNOON HIGHS WILL STRUGGLE TO REACH THE UPPER 50S AND LOW 60S.
