.NOW...THROUGH MID DAY...ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP IN THE MOUNTAINS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO. MOST OF THIS ACTIVITY WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST AT SPEEDS FROM 10 TO 15 MPH...WHICH WILL CARRY SOME STORMS ONTO THE ADJACENT HIGH PLAINS OF LINCOLN...TORRANCE AND SANTA FE COUNTIES AS THE AFTERNOON PROGRESSES. TODAYS STRONGER STORMS WILL PRODUCE WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH...SMALL HAIL...HEAVY RAIN AT RATES UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. STORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAIN WILL FAVOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND THEIR ADJACENT HIGH PLAINS. IN THESE AREAS...HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE RAPID WATER RISES IN ARROYOS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS. THROUGH 1 PM MDT...ONE SHOWER WILL IMPACT I-40 IN THE VICINITY OF SEDILLO AND EDGEWOOD. MEANWHILE...THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP IN CENTRAL AND WESTERN LINCOLN COUNTY...THEN MOVE INTO NORTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY.
