.NOW...REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION... SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COVERED MUCH OF OKLAHOMA AND NORTH TEXAS AT 5 PM. A FEW OF THE STORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN... STRONG WINDS... AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THE MOST ORGANIZED AREA OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS EXTENDED FROM NEAR CHANDLER TO FAIRVIEW... AND WAS MOVING SOUTHWEST TOWARD THE OKLAHOMA CITY METRO AREA. OTHER STORMS WERE MOVING IN VARIOUS DIRECTIONS... BUT MOST WERE MOVING IN A GENERALLY NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION. THE SHOWERS AND STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN TO DIMINISH BEFORE SUNSET... BUT SOME OF THE MORE ORGANIZED GROUPS OF STORMS MAY LAST WELL INTO THE NIGHT.
