.NOW...REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION... SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...SOME PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY NORTH AND NORTHWEST THROUGH THE RED RIVER VALLEY OF SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. AT 445 AM THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MAINLY IN THE AREA FROM AROUND ARDMORE AND TURNER FALLS...SOUTHEASTWARD THROUGH TISHOMINGO...MADILL AND DURANT. 1/4 TO 1/2 INCH OF RAIN WILL BE COMMON THROUGH 6 AM IN THESE AREAS...WITH LOCAL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE IN THE HEAVIER THUNDERSTORMS. OTHER LIGHT TO MODERATE SHOWERS WERE DRIFTING SLOWLY WESTWARD THROUGH PARTS OF WICHITA...CLAY...ARCHER AND BAYLOR COUNTIES OF WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. RAINFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 1/2 INCH WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN ASSOCIATION WITH AN UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEASTWARD THROUGH NORTH TEXAS. THE BEST CHANCES FOR RAIN THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS WILL REMAIN ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND PARTS OF WESTERN NORTH TEXAS AS THE LOW CONTINUES TO PROGRESS SLOWLY THROUGH THE MORNING. AREAS OF SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLE FLOODING THROUGH THE MORNING.
