.NOW...REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION... AT 345 AM...RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM EASTERN NEW MEXICO INTO THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES. THE PRECIPITATION WAS DEVELOPING AND MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AHEAD OF A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM CENTERED OVER THE GREAT BASIN. THE AXIS OF PRECIPITATION WILL MOVE LITTLE AND IS NOT EXPECTED TO AFFECT NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. ELSEWHERE...THICK HIGH CLOUDS WILL CONTINUE TO STREAM OVER OKLAHOMA AND NORTH TEXAS THIS MORNING. WINDS WILL BE FROM THE SOUTHEAST...WITH GUSTS BETWEEN 25 AND 30 MPH POSSIBLE ACROSS WESTERN OKLAHOMA. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN STEADY IN THE LOW TO MID 60S.
