NOW...THROUGH 5 PM...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP OVER THE ATLANTIC WATERS OFF SOUTH FLORIDA AND MOVE SOUTHWEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL THEN MOVE OVER BISCAYNE BAY AND THE EAST COAST METRO AREAS, ACROSS INTERIOR SECTIONS OF SOUTH FLORIDA AND THE EVERGLADES THEN ACROSS THE GULF COAST AND INTO THE NEAR SHORE GULF WATERS. THESE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOSTLY OF SHORT DURATION, BUT A FEW WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES.
