.NOW...THIS MORNING ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...PERIODS OF RAIN AND SCATTERED SHOWERS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WINDS WILL MOVE RAPIDLY NORTHEAST AT UP TO 70 MPH. BURSTS OF HEAVY RAIN WITH THE SHOWERS WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES NEAR 1/2 INCH PER HOUR AND WIND GUSTS TO 45 MPH. OTHER RAIN ACTIVITY WILL PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES NEAR 1/4 INCH PER HOUR. ACROSS WESTERN NEBRASKA...SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL ALSO PRODUCING RAINFALL AT 1/4 TO 1/2 INCH PER HOUR. THE RAIN WILL MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO WET SNOW OVER SHERIDAN COUNTY WITH NO ACCUMULATION EXPECTED. ALL OF THIS PRECIPITATION WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A MASSIVE STORM SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL U.S. AND THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL CYCLONE NORBERT OVER MEXICO. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN COULD FALL BY TIME THE STORM ENDS EARLY MONDAY.
