AN AREA OF SHOWERS EXTENDING FROM NORTH CENTRAL INTO SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD EAST THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON. 340 PM... MOST OF THE ACTIVITY WAS LOCATED IN A 40 MILE WIDE BAND EXTENDING FROM MEDFORD AND PONCA CITY... TO OKLAHOMA CITY AND WEATHERFORD... TO FREDERICK... TO VERNON. IN ADDITION TO THE SHOWERS... AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM OR TWO WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. RAINFALL RATES THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON WILL AVERAGE GENERALLY LESS THAN ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH PER HOUR. THE AREA OF SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SLOWLY EAST THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON... ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE ACTIVITY SHOULD REMAIN WEST OF AN ARDMORE TO HOLDENVILLE LINE. THE SHOWERS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH A SLOW-MOVING UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM LOCATED OVER THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES. ELSEWHERE... A COLD FRONT THAT AT 340 PM EXTENDED FROM STILLWATER... TO SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA CITY... TO LAWTON... TO SEYMOUR TEXAS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE EVENING. AS THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH... TEMPERATURES WILL FALL FROM THE UPPER 70S AND LOWER 80S INTO THE 50S AS WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTH AT 15 TO 20 MPH.
