WITH DEEP GULF MOISTURE IN PLACE...DEWPOINTS STILL RANGED FROM THE MID 60S IN THE WEST TO THE LOWER 70S ALONG AND EAST OF INTERSTATE 35. SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WILL GRADUALLY SWING AROUND TOWARD THE SOUTH LATER TODAY...AND HIGHS WILL TOP OUT IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 90S. HEAT INDICES WILL EXCEED 100 DEGREES IN SOME AREAS...AND PEOPLE ARE REMINDED TO AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DURING THE HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY. MEANWHILE...A COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM SALINA AND DODGE CITY KANSAS TO NEAR GUYMON OKLAHOMA...MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST. THIS BOUNDARY WILL BE THE PRIMARY FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT LATE IN THE DAY...BUT THESE STORMS WILL LIKELY REMAIN OUTSIDE OF NORTHERN OKLAHOMA UNTIL THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. OTHER ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD DEVELOP AFTER 3 PM TODAY...MAINLY WITHIN THE DEEPEST LOW LEVEL MOISTURE OVER SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. SATELLITE SHOWED INCREASING CUMULUS IN THIS REGION AT 1230 PM.
